Apocryphal Books (discovered among the Dead Sea Scrolls in frequency order):

Bible Study (the New American Standard Bible version is recommended for its word-for-word translation):

Notes:

* Luke and Acts were written to Mattathias ben Theophilus (Luke 1:3; Acts 1:1), the kohen gadol of Jerusalem in c.65-66 CE before the outbreak of the First Jewish-Roman War.  The last vestiges of HaDerech at Qumran were discovered at Masada.  Note that Yosef ben Caiaphas was referenced as “Caiaphas” in the NT — just as Mattathias ben Theophilus was referenced as “Theophilus.”

** Esther is the only OT book not discovered among the DSS.  It is one of two books of the Bible that does not mention God — even once; the other is the Song of Solomon.  For these two reasons, Purim is considered non-Biblical and must be seriously questioned from a historical standpoint.
